Living to Kill Yourself?
"We are always dying, all the time. That's what living is; living is dying. Little by little. It's a sequenced collection of individual deaths."
-Excerpt from Chuck Klosterman's KILLING YOURSELF TO LIVE
A thought provoking line that caused me to reflect on the individual deaths I've experienced. The death of childhood, the death of relationships, the death of moments too mundane to encapsulate in memory, the death of good times too precious to last, the death of naive optimism through bitter experience. It's interesting to discover that as our lives fill up they're simultaneously being chipped away at. I suppose that's the paradox of each passing day in our peepholes of existence.
